Ducks look to extend their season-high winning streak to four Sunday night when they host the Pacific Division rival Phoenix Coyotes. Anaheim (10-11-3) appeared to be cementing its position at the bottom of the division after getting swept in a four-game road trip before this homestand. The Ducks, though, ended that skid when Scott Niedermayer scored 52 seconds into overtime of a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay on Nov. 19, and they went on to win three of the next four.

Anaheim made it three in a row Friday, turning in a dominant performance in a 3-0 victory over Central Division-leading Chicago to halt the Blackhawks’ eight-gamewinning streak . The Ducks are certainly proving that at Honda Center, winning seven of the last nine after dropping five of the first six. Anaheim concludes this homestand against Los Angeles on Tuesday. Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who could be in net Sunday, has won the last three games with a 1.30 goals-against average. He made 28 saves to get his first shutout Friday.

Anaheim may opt to start Hiller again, as he’s 7-0-2 with a 2.20 GAA in 10 games against Phoenix. However, he’s been struggling of late with a 1-3-0 mark and 3.78 GAA in his last four starts. The Coyotes are looking to win two in a row for the first time in a month after defeating Dallas 5-2 on Friday. They scored the first five goals after dropping consecutive road games while managing one goal on 64 shots.

The visiting Sharks look to complete a perfect two-game Canadian road trip Sunday night when they face the surging Vancouver Canucks for the first time this season. San Jose (17-6-4) has an NHL-best 38 points, but allowed a season high for goals in a 7-2 home loss to Central Division-leading Chicago on Wednesday. Trying to forget about the lopsided loss, the Sharks rallied for a 5-4 shootout victory at Edmonton on Thursday.

They might need to play better against Vancouver (14-11-0), which defeated Edmonton 7-3 on Saturday for its second straight win and fourth in five games. The Canucks are 10-3-0 at GM Place, and a victory in this contest would wrap up a 4-1-0 homestand. San Jose, however, went 3-1-0 against Vancouver last season and had won seven straight against the Canucks before a 3-1 road loss in the teams’ last meeting March 7.

San Jose’s Evgeni Nabokov looks to bounce back after allowing four goals in each of the last two games. He made 29 saves against the Oilers, and is 15-4-4 with a 2.37 goals-against average in 2009-10. Nabokov has compiled a 1.16 GAA while winning his last six starts against the Canucks. Vancouver coasted to victory Saturday after scoring five times in the first period. Alex Edler and Mason Raymond each had a goal with two assists, Daniel Sedin had one of each and Ryan Kesler added three assists.
