As the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline approaches, Fielder is considered a potential candidate to be moved given that Milwaukee is 9 1/2 games out in the NL Central and he’ll be a free agent after 2011. The first baseman is batting .265 with an NL-leading 23 homers and 45 RBIs. Fielder, who has hit .291 this month and homered in three straight games, certainly wouldn’t be missed by the division rival Pirates. He gave up two runs in 6 1-3 innings of a 4-3 win July 10 to move to 4-0 with a 2.80 ERA in his last seven starts against them. The Brewers have won all of those outings. He’ll look to hand Pittsburgh its ninth loss in 11 games. After scoring 21 runs the previous two contests, the Pirates had six hits Monday and went 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position.
